Your Experience

For those discovering another way of understanding sweet wine

There are sweet wines that seek to have the final word. COR prefers to leave the conversation open.

A Garnatxa Negra from Montsant where sweetness accompanies without imposing itself. Its ageing brings depth and a mature expression, without losing delicacy.

A wine that invites a second glass.

The Wine

COR is born from plots of Garnatxa Negra in Montsant, offering a different interpretation of sweet wine: less sugar in the spotlight, more balance.

After 24 months in barrel and further evolution in bottle, it develops depth and complexity.

Its reddish colour with tile-coloured reflections hints at a mature expression, where time and fruit find their harmony.

TASTING NOTE

Appearance

An evolved reddish colour, with delicate tile-coloured reflections that reveal the passage of time and hint at its mature character.

Nose

Aromas of candied red fruit, plum and orange peel, accompanied by hints of dried fig and gentle spices.

Ageing brings depth and nuances that evolve with aeration.

Palate

A gentle, enveloping entry, with a restrained sweetness that accompanies without dominating.

Ageing brings complexity and a silky texture. Its balance avoids any sense of heaviness and prolongs the enjoyment.

A persistent finish, delicately sweet, that invites another glass.

VISION

Person

COR was born from a question: can a sweet wine express subtlety?

The answer lies in balance. Garnatxa brings Mediterranean character; time, depth.

Here, sweetness is not the protagonist, but part of its personality.

Because intensity doesn't need to impose itself to leave a memory.

TERROIR

Place

COR comes from Montsant, a Mediterranean land of contrasts where Garnatxa Negra finds one of its most recognisable expressions.

A landscape of mountains, vineyards and geological diversity that gives identity to a variety deeply rooted in the region.

Climate

Mediterranean with continental influence, with dry, warm summers, cold winters and marked thermal contrasts.

These conditions favour a gradual ripening of Garnatxa Negra, essential for developing its expression and character.

Soil

Montsant presents extraordinary geological diversity, with calcareous, clay, granite and slate soils.

This richness of soils contributes to the different expressions of Garnatxa and forms part of the territory's uniqueness.

Topography

Slopes, terraces and varying orientations shape a landscape of strong contrasts.

Altitude and sun exposure create different ripening rhythms, offering Garnatxa Negra multiple possibilities for expression.

Variety

Garnatxa Negra is a historic variety of Montsant, recognised for its Mediterranean character and aromatic richness.

In COR, its maturity and capacity for evolution allow for a sweet, deep and balanced expression, far from excessive intensity.

Natural environment

COR is born from a 2021 Garnatxa Negra, crafted with the intention of exploring sweet wine through restraint and balance.

It spends 24 months in barrel, developing complexity and depth, before continuing its evolution in bottle.

Time integrates the fruit, the ageing and the sweetness, giving rise to a mature, delicate expression.

A Garnatxa where subtlety prevails over intensity.

CRAFT

Method

Winemaking begins with respect for an exceptional raw material: Xarel·lo from old vines over 50 years old from the Els Sègols plot.

Work in the cellar seeks to preserve the vineyard’s identity, maintain the wine’s natural tension, and develop texture without covering the character of the marine marls.

Four months of ageing on lees adds volume, cohesion, and a more enveloping mouthfeel. The work is carried out with restraint, seeking to broaden the wine without taking away freshness, precision, or expression of origin.

The result does not aim to transform Xarel·lo, but to refine it. A wine with structure, texture, and depth, where freshness, salinity, and the character of old vines always remain front and centre.

A Xarel·lo for those who understand that a wine’s singularity is born from place, time, and the way both express themselves in the glass.
